We are looking for a 2IC English Teacher who is passionate about empowering students, fostering confidence in reading and writing, and helping staff deliver high-quality, engaging lessons. You will play a key role in supporting curriculum development, mentoring colleagues, and maintaining the departments standards of excellence. The Role (Second in Charge, English Teacher) | The successful candidate will: Support the Head of English in leading and managing the department Contribute to curriculum planning, teaching strategies, and assessment across Key Stages 3 and 4 Monitor student progress and help implement interventions to raise achievement Mentor and support colleagues, fostering collaboration and sharing best practice Encourage students to engage with literature, language, and creative writing Help organise department events, enrichment activities, and cross-curricular projects
