Are you an English graduate looking to gain practical classroom experience before training to become a teacher?

We are working with a range of secondary schools in Newham seeking enthusiastic and motivated English Graduate Teaching Assistants. This role is ideal for aspiring English teachers who want to develop their skills and gain meaningful school experience ahead of a PGCE or other teacher training programme.

The Role:

Supporting the delivery of engaging and effective English lessons

Providing 1:1 and small group support to students of varying abilities

Assisting with lesson planning and classroom activities

Helping to manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment

Encouraging student participation, confidence, and academic progress

Candidate Requirements:

A degree in English or a closely related subject (2:2 or above preferred)

A genuine ambition to pursue a career in teaching

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude

Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential
