Engineering Supervisor

We’re recruiting for an enthusiastic and motivated Engineering Team Supervisor to lead an on-site engineering service team at a major Pharmaceutical site in Cambridge. This role is focused purely on the operation & management of the current service team where you will monitor service schedules and drive continuous improvement of the team in a laboratory environment.
The successful candidate will act as the key link between engineering staff, site management, and the client, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of contracted services while fostering a high-performing and engaged team.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise day-to-day activities of an on-site engineering team
* Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of contracted services
* Monitor KPIs, CMMS records, and engineering documentation
* Lead performance reviews, training, and team development
* Drive process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and service optimisation
* Build strong client and stakeholder relationships
* Support change initiatives and introduction of new technologies
* Champion health & safety and best engineering practices
The ideal candidate will have:
* 5+ years engineering experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role
* Experience servicing instruments and/or leading teams in a laboratory environment
