About the Job

An opportunity has arisen for a Engineering Supervisor to join us at Jumeirah Carlton Tower. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

\n\n

\n\n

\n\t Supervising and overseeing the daily activities of all engineers and trades persons within the department to ensure smooth operations and adherence to Jumeirah procedures. \n\t

Monitoring and inspecting completed repair and maintenance works to ensure they meet the required standards and specifications. \n\t

Assisting in implementing, coordinating, and monitoring the Jumeirah Engineering Management System (HotSoS), including systems for fire safety, life safety, preventive maintenance, and work orders. \n\t

To review, monitor and record and where appropriate issue tasks via the use of the engineering reporting software HotSoS. \n\t

To be hands-on and support the engineering team when required to ensure that services and standards are continually maintained to a consistent high standard. \n\t

To supervise contractors, ensuring that authorised access is provided, that they are fully briefed on the required works, that they are fully briefed on Health & Safety policies and procedures i.e. reviewing risk assessments, issuing permits to work and checking method statements prior to work commencing and on completion of works. \n

\n\t Stakeholder Management: Works effectively with internal teams (Colleagues, Management, HR) and external stakeholders including Guests, Visitors, Contractors, Suppliers, and Vendors. \n\t

Qualifications: NVQ or City & Guilds in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline, plus IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety certification. \n\t

Technical Expertise: Competent in HVAC systems, BMS, FLS, and intermediate-level Microsoft Office applications. \n\t

Leadership & Delivery: Demonstrates strong leadership, team management, and project management capabilities. \n\t

Problem Solving & Attention to Detail: Creative, solutions-focused, and highly detail-oriented in approach. \n
