We are seeking a highly organized and self-motivated contract Project Management Specialist (Resourcing) to join our clients Commercial Modifications Europe Programme Management Office team for an initial 6-month term. The team provides project management tools, process, techniques, support and governance for the project delivery teams. Our client delivers innovative retrofit solutions for in-service aircraft worldwide, utilizing an EASA certification pathway.
Scope of Role
The Project Management Specialist will work with the Engineering team to provide a coherent, efficient and effective approach to planning of their tasks, ensuring that resources are assigned to tasks in priority order, individuals are level-loaded, and project critical paths are maintained. These roles are vital to timely delivery of the projects in the programme of work.
Main Duties/Responsibilities
Level load current delivery plans to reduce delays and prevent cost over runs
Work across the project and engineering teams to establish achievable baseline plans for new work
Improve responsiveness and build resilience with the teams
Build new or improve existing tools and processes in resource planning
Support scaling of project volume
Skills & Experience Required
Resource Management Expertise
Ability to allocate and optimise resources effectively.
Experience with capacity planning and workload balancing.
Project Management
Understanding of project lifecycles and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
Ability to coordinate with project managers and teams.
Analytical Skills
Strong data analysis and forecasting abilities.
Proficiency in using resource planning tools and software (we use Smartsheet).
Communication Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to negotiate and manage stakeholder expectations.
Leadership and Team Management
Experience managing cross-functional collaboration.
Conflict resolution and motivation skills.
Problem-Solving
Ability to identify bottlenecks and develop contingency plans.
Time Management
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Additional Experience Required.
Industry Experience: Typically, 5+ years in resource planning, project management, or operations.
Domain Knowledge: Experience in the aviation industry or IT preferred.
Tool Proficiency: 1+ years Hands-on experience with resource planning and project management tools.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven track record of working with diverse teams and departments
