Due to growth and further expansion within the engineering team, they are looking for an Engineering Purchaser for their busy maintenance spares/parts area. Role & Responsibilities: Be responsible for ensuring spare parts for maintenance and servicing are in stock & payments madePurchase engineering equipment & parts to agreed spec, on time, in full and at the best costIdentify areas where cost and waste can be reducedResponsible for stores administration, financial reporting & adminProcess PO's in an accurate and timely manner to the finance teamsDevelop strong working relationships with suppliersCarry out stock take of the engineering storesWork closely with the engineering stores manager to create better stock flow & controlControl spares costs and report on any higher costings or discontinued Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Have previous working experience as an engineering purchaserIdeally have food manufacturing experienceStrong financial & purchasing skillsBeneficial if worked in an engineering maintenance functionGood IT skills, with strong Microsoft Excel experienceApproaches tasks with a can-do attitude with the ability to create solutions to problemsWorked closely with finance teams, looking at costings, raising PO'sNeed to be a methodical character & good communicatorAble to learn new IT systems quicklyGood attention to detailIdeally have experience of conducting engineering parts stock takes "To apply please email your CV / resume to ( chrisg@hunterselection.co.uk )".
