Job Description
Role: Engineering Planner\nLocation: Birmingham \nHours: 8:30 am-4:30 pm, Monday-Friday\n\nOur client is a well-established manufacturer with a strong focus on continuous improvement, reliability, and health/safety. They foster a culture that values the development of staff and processes.\n\nAs an Engineering Planner, you will play a crucial role in coordinating site maintenance planning to ensure a cost-effective, reliability-centred, and efficient maintenance work order system. Working closely with other departments, you will contribute to the smooth operation of the facility by creating and updating scheduled maintenance activities, managing work backlogs, and supporting the use of SAP PM/BI/MRS/MM for structured maintenance plans and historical documentation.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities: \n\n- Coordinate agreed maintenance plans and create and update scheduled maintenance activities\n- Allocate parts and materials, and assist with production work order generation and management\n- Plan and organise day-to-day maintenance activities and shut-down coordination\n- Control and populate the engineering plan, and manage work backlogs\n- Support the use of SAP PM/BI/MRS/MM for structured maintenance plans and historical documentation\n- Schedule workload for Multiskilled Shift Technicians and review SAP Plant Maintenance modules\n- Act as a site contact for contract labour and ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard\n- Carry out risk assessments, attend/organise courses and meetings, and raise and manage work orders\n\nThe ideal candidate:\n\n- Previous experience in a similar role\n- Familiarity with SAP PM/BI/MRS/MM \n- Strong scheduling and planning skills\n- Experience within engineering or manufacturing industries (desirable)\n- Minimum 5 GCSEs \n\nOn top of a competitive base salary, you will also be eligible to earn a company bonus, overtime, an enhanced company pension, holiday allowance including 3 x 18 consecutive days off, and other benefits, including full access to onsite facilities (gym and canteen).\n\nAt KHR we take care to ensure that you are represented as well as possible so it is worth checking your CV for layout, spelling and grammar as well as making sure it is up to date before you submit.
