Engineering Manager


Our client, a MarTech business building an AI-driven platform that helps teams make better decisions about digital content and performance are looking for an Engineering Manager to join the team.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex product features.
  • Blends hands-on coding and strategic leadership (approx. 50/50 split).
  • Managing engineers in a product environment
  • Ensure engineering excellence: enforce code review standards, implement practical testing strategies, maintain CI/CD hygiene, and define clear completion criteria.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Delivery teams to drive alignment and execution.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing engineering teams in a product-focused environment (startups or scale-ups preferred).
  • Leading cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Engineering, Operations).
  • Full-stack technical proficiency: able to review, unblock, and guide frontend and backend development.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including API design, data modeling, testing, and operational readiness.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.


Tech Stack:

  • Frontend: React, TypeScript
  • Backend: Java 17+, Python (FastAPI)
  • Databases: NoSQL
  • Cloud: GCP or equivalent
  • DevOps: Docker, CI/CD
  • Experience with ML pipelines and media processing is a plus


They are looking to pay up to £100K base + benefits. It’s a hybrid role with travel to the central London office 2x per week.
