As part of their continued expansion, we are seeking an accomplished Engineering Manager to take on a pivotal leadership role within a growing technical assurance function.
The Opportunity
This is an exceptional position for a senior engineering professional who thrives in multidisciplinary environments and enjoys shaping high‑performing teams. You will play a central role in developing and guiding a newly established technical assurance capability—working across all engineering disciplines to support strategic decision‑making, strengthen governance, and ensure engineering excellence across a complex operational landscape.
Your overarching purpose will be:
To lead and coordinate engineering expertise across multiple disciplines, providing strategic direction, technical oversight, and confident decision‑making as the technical assurance team continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership across all engineering disciplines, ensuring cohesive, consistent, and high‑quality technical decision‑making.
Shape and support the development of a new technical assurance team, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing culture.
Offer authoritative engineering guidance to senior stakeholders, project teams, and operational leads.
Oversee engineering governance, ensuring robust processes, standards, and assurance activities are embedded across programmes.
Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices, identifying opportunities to enhance performance, safety, and compliance.
Act as a key interface between engineering teams, programme leadership, and wider organisational functions.
About You
You will bring:
Significant experience in engineering leadership within infrastructure, construction, defence, manufacturing, or similarly complex environments.
Previous experience within the defence sector would be beneficial
A strong understanding of multidisciplinary engineering environments and the ability to coordinate diverse technical inputs.
Proven capability in technical assurance, engineering governance, or senior engineering management.
Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to guide decision‑making at senior levels.
A proactive, strategic mindset with the ability to build and develop high‑performing teams
