Engineer (Workshop Engineer / Machinery Engineer) Ashford, Kent Salary £35,000 pa - £45,000 pa Were looking for a Skilled Engineer to join the team in a hands-on workshop-focused role, working on a wide variety of plant and equipment on the strip-down, rebuild, and refurbishment of industrial machinery. This is an ideal opportunity for engineers who enjoy practical problem-solving, fault finding, project engineering and rebuilding equipment, rather than purely maintenance engineer work or routine maintenance work. Key Responsibilities Days role Monday to Friday (no weekends, no evenings) Strip, inspect, refurbish, and rebuild machinery in the workshop. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults. Service high value capital equipment. Work from technical drawings, manuals, and parts diagrams. Manufacture replacement parts using manual machining equipment (e.g. lathe). Carry out basic welding and fabrication repairs. Support installation and commissioning of machinery (occasional site work).
