Embedded Software Engineer

New Today

We are partnering with a high-growth technology disruptor in Bristol that is currently redefining the global motion control industry. By combining additive manufacturing with world-first hardware technology, they are creating products that were previously thought impossible.
This is not a standard software house. This is a rare opportunity for a hardware-curious engineer to write code that has a direct, physical impact in a high-calibre, fast-paced environment.
The Role
Develop: Write high-quality Embedded C/C++ code to control cutting-edge hydraulics and high-performance hardware.

Own: Take responsibility for features end-to-end, from initial implementation through to hardware validation.

Debug: Get hands-on in the lab using oscilloscopes and logic analysers to troubleshoot and iterate directly on the hardware.

Collaborate: Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to bridge the gap between software logic and physical motion.

The Candidate
Experience: 36 years of professional experience in a hands-on embedded environment.

Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in C or C++ (C++ preferred).

Mindset: You must be "hardware-curious" by nature. You thrive when moving between the keyboard and the lab bench to see your work in action.

Background: A degree in Software Engineering, Electronics, or a related STEM discipline.

Why Apply?
This role isn't about maintaining legacy code; its about shaping the future of motion control. You will join a team of elite engineers based in a vibrant city-centre office, working in an environment where "grit" and technical ownership are core values.
The company offers a modern approach to work, including flexible hours and 9-day fortnight options, ensuring a high-performance culture that respects work-life balance.
