- Monday–Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
- Friday: 08:00 – 15:30
- 30Mins Lunch break each day
- Total: 39 hours per week
Salary: £13.60 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Propbationary Period: 6 months
Pay Review April 2026
Holiday Entitlement: 28 days including Bank Holidays

Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electronics Test Technician to join our busy Test Department, working alongside a team of experienced professionals. The role involves the inspection, programming, testing, and final assembly of a variety of electronic circuit boards and electronic equipment.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, the ability to follow test procedures accurately, and a strong understanding of electronic assembly practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, program, and test electronic circuit boards and finished equipment.
- Perform final assembly tasks in line with company standards.
- Follow detailed test procedures with accuracy and precision.
- Complete all required documentation clearly and correctly.
- Carry out basic fault-finding down to component level.
- Work efficiently within the Test Department to meet production targets.
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working in an electronics manufacturing environment.
- Excellent hand soldering and assembly skills.
- Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams.
- Competent in fault diagnosis at component level.
- Strong understanding of production soldering and assembly techniques for SMT (Surface Mount) and Through-Hole assemblies.
- Skilled in modern rework techniques for both SMT and Through-Hole components.
- Excellent working knowledge of electronic components.
- Competent use of standard bench test equipment, including:
- Digital multimeters
- Oscilloscopes
- Power supplies
- Basic computer literacy (e.g., accessing documentation, setting up programming software & recording results).
