We operate at the forefront of advanced and highly sensitive technologies, designing and delivering bespoke electronic and IT solutions that support specialist operations in complex, real-world environments.\n\nThe Role\n\nYou will use your technical background in electronics engineering to effectively steer development activities, manage delivery timelines, and ensure solutions are robust, reliable and fit for purpose. Working closely with senior technologists and development managers, you will guide the team from early requirements capture through to successful deployment.\n\nThe role requires strong stakeholder engagement, including working directly with operational users, suppliers and partner organisations to understand requirements, assess feasibility, and deliver solutions to demanding timescales.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nLeading and managing an electronics systems development team\n\nPlanning and delivering a programme of electronics development projects\n\nEngaging with operational stakeholders to capture and document requirements\n\nRunning project and technical meetings to maintain momentum and delivery focus\n\nManaging suppliers, partners and external stakeholders\n\nMonitoring project progress and reporting on delivery status\n\nSupporting the manufacture, production and rollout of electronic systems\n\nQualifications/Experience\n\nEssential\n\nDegree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering\n\nOR\n\nHND in Electrical & Electronic Engineering\n\nYou must be able to demonstrate experience in:\n\nLeadership and management of an electronics systems development team\n\nManaging multiple electronics development projects from requirements through to delivery\n\nRunning project meetings and steering teams to deliver on time\n\nPractical experience in devolping electronic solutions in at least three of the following:\n\nGeneral electronics design\n\nSchematic capture and PCB design\n\nMiniaturisation of electronic solutions\n\nEmbedded systems design (hardware and software)\n\nRF systems design and analysis\n\nAudio and communications systems\n\nIP-based audio and video systems\n\nMechanical design and 3D modelling\n\nDesirable Experience\n\nManaging manufacture, production and rollout of electronic solutions\n\nAllocating resources and managing project budgets\n\nLiaison with suppliers, manufacturers and academic partners\n\nProduct evaluation and selection against defined criteria\n\nDeveloping engineering teams to maintain current technical capability\n\nSecurity & Eligibility\n\nThis role requires access to highly sensitive material.
