The team supports complex electrical and electronic test platforms, including Special-to-Type Test Equipment (STTE), used in the manufacture and testing of high-integrity systems.

This position suits engineers with strong electronics fault-finding, calibration experience, and a desire to work on varied and technical test equipment from DC through to Microwave technologies.

HNC/HND in Electrical & Electronics Engineering is essential.

About the Role PAYE: £23.82 – £26.04 per hour Umbrella: £32 – £35 per hour Location: Stevenage You will join an established team of Calibration & Maintenance Engineers responsible for electrical and electronic test equipment servicing, fault-finding, calibration, commissioning and supporting STTE.

Key Responsibilities Calibrate, maintain and repair Electrical & Electronic Test Equipment, including Special-to-Type Test Equipment (STTE) Diagnose and fault-find to component level across a wide range of instrumentation Support routine calibrations, commissioning work and drift analysis activities Utilise technical documentation, drawings, handbooks and specifications to perform measurements, repairs and provide technical guidance Work within an experienced engineering team supporting complex test platforms Mentor junior or less experienced team members when required Manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-moving environment (Desirable) Use SAP systems for workflow and documentation (Advantageous) Experience working with Environmental Chambers Requirements HNC/HND in Electrical & Electronics Engineering — mandatory Experience calibrating test equipment and maintaining electronic systems to component level Strong understanding of calibration principles and processes Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and technical documentation Confident in electronics fault-finding, xbpsjku measurement and repair Strong communication and ability to tailor technical information to the audience Able to work within a busy engineering environment and handle multiple priorities Experience with Environmental Chambers beneficial but not essential SAP knowledge desirable What This Role Offers Long-term contract opportunity Work within a skilled Calibration & Maintenance engineering team Exposure to a wide range of electrical/electronic test equipment (DC to Microwave) Strong development and training from experienced engineers Ability to contribute directly to high-integrity test capability Competitive PAYE and Umbrella rates
