Lead and develop a growing electronics team with real autonomy and influence. Shape future products and technology direction within an established, supportive organisation. Report directly to director level, offering visibility, impact, and progression.

I'm supporting a long-standing engineering and technology business in their search for an Electronics Design Manager to oversee a team of seven and drive forward innovation across new and existing product lines.

What You'll Be Doing

Guiding, supporting, and developing a team of seven electronics engineers to deliver strong technical output. Overseeing day-to-day design activities and providing practical, hands-on technical direction. Coordinating multiple design projects, ensuring smooth progress from early concept through to final delivery. Reviewing and refining electronic designs, schematics, PCB layouts, and prototypes. Identifying opportunities to enhance current products, development processes, and tools. Working closely with internal teams such as project management, software, mechanical, production, and commercial functions. Contributing to recruitment, team structuring, and performance development.

What You Bring

Solid background in electronics design with practical, time-served experience - Degree ideal Demonstrated ability to lead or supervise an engineering/design team. Confidence working with embedded systems, PCB design tools, and modern development methods. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage several projects at once. Clear communication style and the capability to work closely with director-level leadership. Full right to work without the need for sponsorship
