Our client, a thriving family-run business, is on the lookout for an Electronic Mechanical Workshop Supervisor to lead their workshop to new heights!
Location: Stafford
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday
Key Responsibilities:
Workload Management: Organise and manage the workshop team's daily and weekly workload, balancing resources effectively and providing regular progress updates to management.
Servicing & Repairs: Carry out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of environmental monitoring systems and instruments, both in the workshop and occasionally on customer sites.
Product Expertise: Work on high-quality equipment from industry leaders ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Installation & Commissioning: Support the installation and commissioning of systems on-site, working closely with service engineers..Requirements:
Customer Focus: Deliver work to a high standard that meets customer expectations and deadlines.
Job Coordination: Prepare materials, tools, and resources for upcoming jobs.
Reporting: Complete service and repair reports promptly and accurately, following up when necessary.
Proactive Attitude: Spot potential equipment issues early and take corrective action to avoid breakdowns.
Troubleshooting: Quickly identify root causes of faults and carry out effective repairs.
Team Support: Mentor and support junior technicians, encouraging skill development.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel occasionally, stay overnight, and work overtime if required.
Your Background:
Education & Qualifications:
GCSEs (A*-C or equivalent) in English, Maths, and Science
Formal qualification in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering ()
18th Edition electrical qualification (advantageous)
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in an engineering role, ideally within electro-mechanical service/repair
Experience diagnosing and resolving complex product faults
Familiarity with working on customer sites independently
