JOB LOCATION: Stevenage only

SECURITY CLEARANCE LEVEL: SC (Can Start on BPSS) – Not UKEO DUAL are okay.

DURATION: 6+ Months and likely to be extended

WORK PATTERN: Hybrid (Hybrid working min 2/3 days onsite to per week but flex on this)

PAY RATE: £55 - £60 Per Hour Pay To Umbrella Company (Inside IR35)

Overview of Department:

Electronic Engineering is responsible for the design, development, proving and transfer to production of MBDA UK Electronics Equipment, whether missile subsystems, platform based weapon system subsystems or test equipment.

In order to deliver on our Project commitments, Electronic Engineering’s Governance Team needs to support all of the engineering delivery teams in all business operation areas including functional finance and asset/facilities management. We are therefore looking for a Business Manager with experience of both Financial Management and Business Operations Management to join the team.

Responsibilities:

Working under the leadership of the Electronic Engineering (EE) Head of Future Technology & Governance, you will be responsible for the management of the 2025 electronic engineering budget working with the Heads of Capability and other leaders within the EE Function. Additionally, you will manage the same group of people through the process of planning and structuring the functional budget for 2026.

From a business operation perspective, you will be involved with the EE Asset Management activities, working with the EE Lab Manager to ensure Capital is planned in line with functional priorities and that all assets and managed appropriately through life with all required cover provided within the functional budget.

What we need from you

* Leadership of the management of all functional budgets (Capital, Non-Payroll, Functional Projects) through 2025 and into 2026

* Preparation of Local Operating Process guides to define and ensure consistency in how functional budgets are utilised across all capabilities and delivery teams

* Conduct financial data analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

* Support to Governance and Business Operation strategic improvement actions led by others within the Future Technology & Governance team

* Support delivery of performance metrics to the EE Senior Leadership Team

* EE stakeholder management – EE Deputy Director, Heads of Capability, Future Technology & Governance Team

* Wider MBDA stakeholder management – MBDA UK Finance, Site Management Team

Security Clearance (SC) is required for this role.

The expectation for this role is that this will be a hybrid working role with 60% of time spent on site in Stevenage.

Good understanding of Finance (General Ledger Accounts, Capital)
