Commercial Electrician

Location: West Midlands (site-based)

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per year (depending on experience)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Commercial Electrician to join a growing team delivering high-quality electrical solutions across the West Midlands.

This is a hands-on role working across a variety of commercial sites, with all work based locally in the region-no long-distance travel required. Experience in rail environments would be highly beneficial, though not essential.

You'll be part of a close-knit, supportive team that takes pride in maintaining a strong family-feel culture while delivering work to the highest professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out commercial electrical installations, upgrades, and refurbishments
• Perform planned and reactive maintenance across client sites
• Conduct inspection, testing, and fault finding on electrical systems
• Ensure all work complies with current regulations and health & safety standards
• Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Complete accurate documentation, including test certificates and reports
• Work both independently and as part of a wider team
• Represent the business professionally on-site

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential)
• Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent preferred)
• ECS Gold Card
• Proven experience in commercial electrical work
• Rail experience (desirable but not essential)
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Good understanding of health & safety legislation
• Full UK driving licence
