£39,140 per annumLong Stratton, Norwich, NorfolkPermanent,Full Time (37hrs per week)Proposed Interview Date: W/C 9th February (TBC)We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrician tocarry out electrical installation and maintenance tasks throughout the whole of Saffron Housing Trust Properties.Key Responsibilities Include:

• Undertake all electrical works including maintenance, modernisation, improvements and remedials tomaintainall premises owned by Saffron or those they have interest in.
• Responsible for ensuring all jobs areclosed downaccordingly when jobs are completed via a mobile device.
• Responsible for all equipment provided by Saffron including van stock, vehicle, tools, and materials.
• Ensuring the safety and security of Saffrons tenants and properties byparticipatingon the out of hours call out rota, asrequired.

For a full list of responsibilities please see the attached Role ProfileOur Ideal Candidate Will Have:Educations and Qualifications:Provide evidence of an ECS Gold Card. This ensures the holder has:
A Level 3 competency-based standard (NVQ) in Electrical installations plus a formal BS7671 Qualification in the current edition of the Wiring regulations in force when your application was made.
If you trained prior to 1999, you would need toevidencethe industry-recognised standard at that time
Where non-UK qualifications are held applicants must meet the following criteria:

• TheEcctis* Electrotechnical Skills Statement
• The Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Assessment (including)
• Experienced Worker Qualification Level 3 performance units
• BS7671:2018 (18th edition) Requirements for Electrical Installations
• The level 3 Initial Verification of Electrical Installations
• The UK Industry Assessment of Occupational Competence (AM2E or AM2ED)
• ECS Health, Safety and Environmental Assessment
• A City and Guilds 2391 testing and inspection certificatedemonstratingcompetence to test both domestic and commercial buildings

Recognised UK electrical qualifications:

• C&G 2360 levels 2&3 Parts 1&2 & NVQ level 3 & C&G 2391 (equivalent C&G 2394/95 or EAL equivalent).
• C&G 2330 Levels 2&3 with NVQ level 3 & AM2 & C&G 2391 (equivalent C&G 2394/95 or EAL equivalent).
• 18th Edition BS7671:2018. City & Guilds or EAL Qualification
• Current JIB card to either approved electrician with NVQ level qualification.
  AM2 qualification

Experience:Relevant experience and knowledge in all types of domestic electrical work, including rewires, kitchen and bathroom upgrades, wiring, connection, and commissioning of all types of heating fuel systems.Experience of working in both occupied and unoccupied properties and on occasions in extreme temperatures and conditions due to seasonal weather conditions.Skills,Knowledgeand Abilities:

• Possess working knowledge of domestic BS5839 Part 6:2019 domestic fire detection systems and BS5266: 2016 emergency lighting.
• Able to work as part of a team and able to work independently without the need for close supervision.
• Excellent time management skills, including an ability to prioritise workload and meet agreed deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,possessingthe ability to liaise with various audiences.
• Ability to use a mobile device (mobile phone/tablet) to manage workload, send and receive emails, access apps to order stock and MS Teams for meetings / training.
• Ability toparticipateon the out of hours call out rota.

Personal Attributes:

• Full, current, valid driving licence.
• Must be comfortable working within confined areas e.g. roof spaces, which are subject to fluctuating temperatures during the year.
