This role will be within our MEICA and capital maintenance team. Our Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) experts offer a one-stop solution, including ongoing operation and maintenance services.

You'll oversee project requirements, producing design deliverables, conducts site visits, and ensures design accuracy aligned with client specification. You’ll also manage client and third-party communications. - You'll design and plan MEICA infrastructure. From initial outlines design, detailed plans and design deliverables for projects like water and sewerage systems, flood alleviation and blue/green solutions.
- You'll oversee the MEICA design of projects from start to finish as part of the design team. Assist with budgeting, scheduling, and ensuring surveys and site investigations are completed to the required specifications and standards to aid your design and commissioning decisions.
- You'll use software tools to analyse design options and showcase your creations, ensuring they meet both internal and external acceptance standards.
- You'll have the opportunity to collaborate and communicate with various stakeholders, including our clients, supply chain, procurement teams. Communicate your technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Lead Electrical Design Engineer
The Electrical Lead Design Engineer will lead and deliver electrical design solutions for water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment works, pumping stations, and networks. The role involves managing electrical design from feasibility through detailed design and construction support, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements. Responsibilities include technical leadership of design teams, design review and approval, coordination with mechanical, civil, and process disciplines, and engagement with clients and contractors. The role supports efficient, resilient, and sustainable asset delivery across clean and wastewater programmes.
Lead Mechanical Design Engineer
The Mechanical Lead Design Engineer is responsible for leading the mechanical design of water and wastewater treatment projects from concept through delivery. The role involves technical leadership, coordination with multi-disciplinary teams, and ensuring designs comply with regulatory, safety, and client requirements. You will oversee mechanical calculations, specifications, and drawings, provide guidance to junior engineers, and support construction and commissioning activities. The position requires strong problem-solving skills, and a focus on delivering efficient, safe, and sustainable solutions within programme and budget constraints.
What you’ll bring
Valid clean driving licence
Have a good knowledge of water and waste water systems. Including associated MEICA equipment and the relationship between the two, either through previous experience or education
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
Chartered or working toward chartership (IMechE or equivalent)
Significant experience in water/wastewater treatment projects
Proven leadership of mechanical design teams
Strong knowledge of pumps, pipework, rotating equipment
Experience with UK water standards and CDM regulations
Ability to interface with clients, contractors, and regulators
Proficiency in design software and engineering calculations
