Job Title: Electrical Technician – Military Vehicle Systems
Location: Coventry
Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (initial 3 months with potential extension)
Pay Rate: £19 per hour

We are recruiting skilled Electrical Technicians to support high-priority defence vehicle programmes at a secure manufacturing facility in Coventry. These roles sit within specialist vehicle integration teams, delivering low-volume, high-specification military platforms where precision, reliability, and safety are critical.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on mission-critical systems that directly contribute to the protection of personnel in operational environments.

The Role

You will be part of a dedicated production team responsible for the installation, modification, and testing of bespoke electrical systems on specialist military vehicles.

Key responsibilities include:

* Installation of MOTS/COTS electrical systems supporting survivability and mission-critical functions

* Assembly, routing, and securing of electrical looms, harnesses, and sub-systems to exacting standards

* Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, drawings, and Bills of Materials (BoMs)

* Manufacture and modification of wiring looms and electro-mechanical sub-systems at bench level

* Supporting prototype and development builds in collaboration with Electrical Design engineers

* Applying lean manufacturing principles and contributing to continuous improvement activities

* Working safely, methodically, and with strong attention to detail at all times

About You

We are looking for hands-on technicians with a strong background in automotive or specialist vehicle electrical systems.

You will ideally bring:

* HNC (or equivalent) in Automotive Electrical Systems installation and repair

* Proven experience in low-volume, specialist, or high-integrity vehicle manufacturing

* Understanding of OEM automotive electrical architectures and military-spec radios or sub-systems

* Awareness of electromagnetic interference (EMI) and its impact on vehicle networks

* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability grounded in electrical theory

* A proactive, team-oriented approach with pride in quality workmanship
