The Role
We are working with a specialist environmental services provider that operates critical treatment and monitoring sites across the UK. They are looking for an Electrical / Instrument Technician to support a portfolio of field-based assets across the Yorkshire region.
This is a hands on, autonomous role where you will be responsible for ensuring instrumentation and electrical systems are operating reliably, safely, and in line with industry standards.
You will primarily work independently across multiple sites, carrying out fault finding, calibration, and routine maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults on electrical and instrumentation systems
- Calibrate and maintain field instrumentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites
- Troubleshoot control systems, sensors, and low voltage equipment
- Record site data, readings, and maintenance activity using handheld devices
- Support site optimisation by identifying issues and improvement opportunities
- Ensure all work is completed in line with HSE and compliance standards
- Participate in an out of hours standby rota

What We Are Looking For
- Experience in electrical maintenance or instrumentation
- Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience working with low voltage systems
- Background in industrial, utilities, or process environments (desirable)
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Exposure to water, wastewater, or environmental sites would be beneficial but is not essential.
