Join our client as an Electrical Technician and play a key role in keeping a large, diverse estate running safely and efficiently.\n\nElectrical Technician\n\nLocation: Coventry, UK\n\nSalary: £31,236 - £34,610 per annum + market supplement (On call hours will be £200 a month + Time and a half hourly)\n\nHours: 08:30am till 16:00pm\n\nPermanent role\n\nBenefits: Discounts, a wellbeing scheme, work-life balance, sick pay, development for your career & a generous pension\n\nOur client, a respected organisation with a large and varied estate, is seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Technician to join its growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a wide range of electrical systems while supporting essential services.\n\nWhy join our client?\n\nYou will work with modern systems, enjoy a supportive team culture, and take on varied, meaningful tasks that keep facilities safe and operational.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n * Respond to reactive electrical jobs, completing work safely and within agreed SLAs\n\n * Diagnose faults across power, emergency lighting, alarms, motors, BMS and portable appliances\n\n * Undertake planned maintenance including inspections, testing and statutory checks\n\n * Resolve breakdowns and advise on repair or replacement solutions\n\n * Support minor installation works and refurbishment projects\n\n * Lead on small power system installations\n\n * Assess risks, follow safety procedures and complete documentation accurately\n\n * Prioritise workload, record job outcomes and maintain electronic timesheets\n\n * Order required materials and support budgeting for small works\n\n * Liaise with supervisors, colleagues and contractors to minimise operational disruption\n\n * Provide high‑quality customer service across a diverse user base\n\n * Maintain high standards of workmanship and keep work areas tidy\n\n * Drive company vehicles between sites when required\n\n * Complete additional duties suitable to the role’s level\n\nWhat you’ll need\n\n * Recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent experience\n\n * NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or Maintenance\n\n * 18th Edition, Inspection & Testing qualifications\n\n * Strong understanding of electrical compliance and safety\n\n * Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to manage workload\n\n * Experience with high‑volume reactive work\n\n * Good communication and basic IT skills\n\n * Full, clean driving licence\n\n * Experience with PPM systems (desirable)\n\n * Knowledge of fire alarms, LV/HV systems or confined spaces (desirable)\n\nMorgan Jones is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment and is proud to be an equal‑opportunity employer.
