Job Description

The Resolute Group is proud to partner with an international Engineering and Design Consultancy to support the continued growth of their Building Services division. With a strong project pipeline within the data centre sector, this role offers the chance to lead from the front as the Technical Director (Electrical), shaping design standards, mentoring a high-performing team, and influencing project delivery at the highest level.

Responsibilities

Lead the electrical engineering discipline on major projects, providing technical direction and ensuring best-in-class design delivery. Oversee the development of electrical systems designs, including cooling, ventilation, and HVAC solutions for large-scale data centre environments. Work closely with mechanical and structural counterparts to ensure fully coordinated MEP solutions within BIM/Revit environments. Act as the technical authority for the electrical discipline, conducting design reviews and approving technical outputs. Provide strategic leadership on project planning, resource allocation, and quality assurance across multiple concurrent projects. Support business growth by contributing to bids, proposals, and client presentations, ensuring designs align with commercial objectives. Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Stay abreast of industry trends, sustainability initiatives, and digital design advancements to keep the company at the forefront of innovation.

Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering. Experience leading electrical design teams within the data centre sector. Proven technical expertise in electrical systems design for mission-critical projects. Strong working knowledge of BIM/Revit and coordination with multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
