Job Title: Electrical Site Manager (Contract)\nLocation: Derby\nContract Type: Contract (Freelance)\nDuration: 8 weeks minimum\nStart Date: ASAP\n\nOverview:\n\nOur client is seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to oversee operations on an industrial site. This is a contract position, ideal for a highly organised and technically proficient individual with strong electrical knowledge and a proven background in managing teams and site operations.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Supervise and manage all on-site electrical works on an active industrial project.\n\n * Lead and coordinate daily operations of the site team, including electricians, subcontractors, and labourers.\n\n * Ensure all works are carried out in line with health & safety standards and permit-to-work systems.\n\n * Prepare, issue, and manage site permits in accordance with project and legal requirements.\n\n * Produce daily and weekly reports, including progress updates, site observations, and any arising issues.\n\n * Liaise with project managers, clients, and engineers to ensure smooth site execution and timely delivery of works.\n\n * Maintain detailed records of site activities, inspections, and materials.\n\n * Conduct toolbox talks and ensure site inductions and method statements are followed.\n\nRequirements:\n\n * Proven experience as an Electrical Site Supervisor or Manager on industrial or heavy commercial projects.\n\n * Strong understanding of electrical systems, installations, and safety standards.\n\n * Experience with permit systems, site reporting, and HSE compliance.\n\n * Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.\n\n * Ability to manage deadlines, multitask, and proactively solve problems on site.\n\n * Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, or similar).\n\n * SSSTS/SMSTS and ECS/CSCS card required.\n\n * First Aid certification ()\n\nWe are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of , , reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, and maternity, , or belief, or
