Electrical Shift Engineer

Location: Banking / Critical Environment Contract: Fixed-Term Contract Start: Immediate

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to work within a high-profile banking environment on a fixed-term contract. This is a shift-based role focused on maintaining critical electrical systems and ensuring continuous, safe operation.

The Role

Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on electrical systems.

*

Monitor and maintain LV electrical infrastructure, switchgear, and distribution boards.

*

Respond to electrical faults, alarms, and emergency situations.

*

Support the operation of critical systems including UPS, generators, and power distribution.

*

Complete shift handovers, logbooks, and maintenance reports.

*

Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.

*

Escort and oversee specialist contractors when required.

What We’re Looking For

*

Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer in a critical or commercial environment (banking, data centre, or similar).

*

Strong knowledge of LV electrical systems.

*

Experience working with UPS and generators (desirable).

*

Recognised Electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent).

*

18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential).

*

Ability to start immediately.
