Job Description Electrical Shift Engineer – Continental Shift - Fenchurch Street, London - £50,000  Location: Commercial Building, Fenchurch Street, London Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum

Overview: Our client is seeking a qualified Electrical Shift Engineer to join the maintenance team of a high-rise commercial building in Fenchurch Street, London. The ideal candidate will hold electrical qualifications (C&G / NVQ) and have experience in commercial building maintenance. This role offers hands-on electrical and multi-skilled work, with opportunities for further training and career progression. Amenities can include a coffee house and restaurant on site, showers and lockers, a Variety of Rooms: which are boardrooms, meeting rooms, zoom rooms, and larger function spaces. As you are in the heart of the busy city of London, transport links to get to the site are second to none. The closest stations are as follows: Fenchurch Street, Aldgate and Monument.

Hours of Work: Continental Shift:

\n 4 days on / 4 off / 3 days on / 3 nights on / 6 off / 4 nights on

Shift times: 07:00 – 19:00 / 19:00 – 07:00

\n

\n

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

\n Electrical maintenance including lighting, fault-finding, small installations, lamping, ballast changes, control panels, and power distribution

\n

\n

Emergency lighting inspections and maintenance

\n

\n

Air Conditioning: AHUs and FCUs (filter changes, cleaning, basic maintenance)

\n

\n

Chiller re-sets and first-line troubleshooting

\n

\n

Water treatment monitoring (temperature checks)

\n

\n

Monitoring mechanical plant, pumps, motors, and plumbing (unblocking toilets, minor repairs)

\n

\n

BMS system monitoring (hot & cold checks)

\n

\n

Perform all allocated tasks professionally and within allocated timeframes

\n

\n

Proactively identify, report, and resolve faults with building services equipment

\n

\n

Maintain health & safety compliance, reporting/escalating issues where required

\n

\n

Maintain clear communication with client staff and site management regarding service issues

\n

\n

Escort specialist subcontractors when required

\n

\n

Be flexible with site attendance and tasks within competency

\n

\n

Requirements:

\n Electrically qualified (C&G, NVQ, or equivalent)

\n

\n

18th Edition Wiring Regulations knowledge

\n

\n

Experience in large commercial buildings

\n

\n

Ability to provide trade certificates (essential)

\n

\n

Proven track record in commercial building maintenance

\n

\n

Multi-skilled (electrical, mechanical, and general building services)

\n

\n

Strong communication and customer service skills

\n

\n

Must be able to attend site for a 07:00 am start
