As a Critical Services Shift Technician (Electrical) at Integral UK, you will be working across a prominent client site in Canary Wharf.\n\nShift Pattern: Days & Nights - Continental shift pattern\n\nRoles & Responsibilities:\n\n * Provide a skilled maintenance service to meet the desired standards, specifications and competency levels required\n\n * Respond to customer requests in compliance with agreed service levels.\n\n * Participate in operation of shift with other team members.\n\n * Act as Performing Authority for Permit Control Process.\n\n * Act as a competent person issuer for contractors on Control of Works and Risk assessments/Method Statements\n\n * Perform duties of an Electrical/Mechanical Competent Person as defined within local site rules\n\nDuties:\n\n * Working as part of a shift team operating a 24/7 rotating shift system. Be willing and flexible to work occasional overtime to provide cover for annual leave / sickness\n\n * Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and reactive repairs on electrical systems, including UPS, generators, switchgear, and lighting systems.\n\n * Monitor and maintain critical infrastructure systems to ensure optimum performance and compliance with industry standards, particularly in a high-pressure environment.\n\n * Respond to and resolve electrical faults promptly and efficiently to minimize downtime, ensuring all work is logged and documented.\n\n * Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to execute maintenance activities with minimal disruption to the client’s operations.\n\n * Maintain electrical/mechanical plant and services at client sites to appropriate industry standards.\n\n * Undertake maintenance procedures, regular checks and routine inspections on equipment in conjunction with the maintenance team to a satisfactory time scale.\n\n * Ensure the continuous operation of the installed system.\n\n * Undertake repair and minor works associated with the installed services relevant to their job designation and small new installation projects on a self-perform basis.\n\n * Assist and enhance service delivery through best practice and the effective use of site systems, equipment and time\n\n * Carry out personal risk assessments of maintenance and repair activities.\n\n * Complete service reports and data entry on to CMMS system within a required time scale.\n\n * Maintain and review stock levels, spares requirement through audit and timely ordering of parts\n\n * Attend to and supervise specialist contractors during service visits as required.\n\n * Communicate with all relevant parties and team members to a good recordable standard.\n\nPreferred Qualifications & Experience:\n\n * Fully qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation.\n\n * 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.\n\n * Proven experience in a similar role within a critical or high-security environment, such as data centres, financial institutions, or industrial sites.\n\n * Strong knowledge of electrical systems, building services, and control systems.\n\n * Experience working with critical systems such as UPS, standby generators, and associated systems.\n\n * Good customer service and communication skills\n\n * Self-motivated\n\n * Able to work as part of a busy team\n\n * Flexible in approach to work scheduling\n\nEmployee Benefits:\n\nOvertime x1.5 on weekday and x2 on weekends + day in lieu on bank holidays\n\nStandby rate is £15 per day and £50 on bank holidays\n\n25 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata into shifts for shift workers)\n\nCompany funded health cash plan\n\nAbility to buy and sell holidays – buy 5 days & sell 2 days\n\nLife assurance\n\nAuto-enrolment company pension scheme\n\nEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)\n\nCycle to work scheme\n\nPurchase an electric vehicle via salary sacrifice\n\nEmployee discounts with various brands\n\nLearning and development programs, training and career opportunities.\n\nPowered bybreezy
