Location: West Midlands, East Midlands & Central Region Contract: Permanent (or Sub‑Contract) Sector: Ministry of Justice & Ministry of Defence Working Pattern: Mobile role with on‑call rota Pay Rates: Dependent on experience Overtime & On‑Call: * Paid travel time & overtime * 18:00–21:00 paid at 1.5x * 21:00–06:00 paid at 2x + following day off * On‑call: 1 in 6 weeks (£100, minimum 3 hours) * Phone allowance Benefits: * Company vehicle (fully maintained) * Pension & benefits * 20 days holiday + bank holidays * Permanent contract after 6‑month probation We are seeking experienced Electrical Service Engineers / Approved Electricians to carry out maintenance, fault‑finding, installations, and remedial works across high‑security sites within the MoJ and MoD sectors. Key Duties: * Electrical servicing, fault finding, and repairs * New installations and small works * Fire alarm, emergency lighting & refuge systems (desirable) * Participating in an on‑call rota * Maintaining excellent Health & Safety standards * Delivering high levels of customer service Requirements: * NVQ Level 2 or higher in Electrical Installation * Valid CSCS Card * Full UK driving licence (max 3 points) * IT‑literate (PDA / tablet‑based job allocation) * Strong Health & Safety awareness * DBS check required (Enhanced on commencement) Desirable (training can be provided): * Experience with Gent, Notifier, or Advanced panels * Asbestos Awareness, First Aid * IPAF / PASMA This role suits a professional, customer‑focused electrician comfortable working in high‑security, compliance‑driven environments
