Job Description

Electrical Project Manager\n\nWe are currently delivering a commercial construction project and are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join the team on a freelance basis.\n\nAbout the role\n\nThe successful candidate will take responsibility for managing the electrical package from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Overall management of the electrical works on a commercial project\n\n * \n\n Plan, coordinate, and control the electrical programme in line with the main construction schedule\n\n * \n\n Manage electrical supervisors, electricians, and subcontractors on site\n\n * \n\n Review drawings, specifications, and technical information; manage design queries and RFIs\n\n * \n\n Coordinate with the main contractor, client team, consultants, and other trade managers\n\n * \n\n Ensure all health & safety requirements are met, including RAMS, permits, and safe systems of work\n\n * \n\n Monitor quality through inspections and audits, ensuring works meet specifications and standards\n\n * \n\n Manage testing, inspection, commissioning, and certification processes\n\n * \n\n Track progress, identify risks or delays, and implement corrective actions\n\n * \n\n Manage variations, costs, and change control related to the electrical package\n\n * \n\n Lead snagging, defect resolution, and final handover documentation\n\n * \n\n Produce regular progress reports and maintain accurate project records\n\nRequired Experience & Qualifications\n\n * \n\n Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager on commercial or industrial projects\n\n * \n\n Strong background in delivering fit-out, shell & core, or large commercial developments\n\n * \n\n ECS Gold Card (Manager or equivalent)\n\n * \n\n SSSTS or SMSTS\n\n * \n\n Strong technical knowledge of electrical installations and commissioning\n\n * \n\n Ability to manage subcontractors, programmes, and budgets\n\n * \n\n Excellent communication and leadership skills\n\n * \n\n Full UK Driving Licence\n\nTo Apply\n\nPlease submit your up to date CV to apply for the Electrical Project Manager role
