Job Description
Astute's Renewables team is partnering with one of the world's leading companies in the wind energy industry, setting new standards in technological design for more than 30 years. We are working together to recruit an Electrical Works Project Manager to support the planning and delivery of electrical infrastructure across wind farm projects.\n \n This role offers a salary of up to £80,000 plus car allowance, and flexible hybrid working options, alongside a strong benefits package.\n \n If you're working in a similar role and looking to join a globally recognised organisation within a growing and innovative sector, please read on and apply below.\n\nResponsibilities and duties of the Electrical Project Manager role \n\nReporting to the Construction Manager you will:\n\nProvide expert technical guidance to customers, sales teams, and utilities on electrical works matters.\nCollaborate with the Project team to prepare customer proposals, bills of quantities, and technical specifications for suppliers.\nSupport the design and planning of network connections in coordination with network operators.\nAssist Sales during the project initiation phase with planning, scheduling, and scope alignment.\nEnsure all electrical works are specified and implemented in line with Health & Safety standards and technical requirements.\nSupport the Commercial team with contract and claim management activities.\nManage subcontractor negotiations and coordination.\nMonitor project delivery to identify and resolve additional costs, delays, and construction issues alongside the Construction Manager.\nPrepare and present detailed reports on project progress.\nDrive project optimization initiatives in collaboration with the General Project Manager and other stakeholders.\nServe as the primary point of contact for customers on all electrical matters throughout each project phase.\nOversee work packages during the planning and installation of turbines, working closely with internal technical teams. \n\nProfessional qualifications \n\nWe are looking for someone with the following:\n\nDegree qualified in Electrical Engineering () or a minimum Level 3 / HNC Electrical Engineering with specialised experience in power .\nExperience in power and electrical power systems.\nHigh voltage distribution experience.\nExperience in the renewable energy sector is highly desirable.\nProject Management experience with an electrical or industrial focus.\nStrong understanding of SAP and SCADA systems is highly advantageous.\nFull, valid UK driving licence \n\nPersonal skills \n\nThe Electrical Project Manager role would suit someone who is:\n\nAble to work proactively, independently, or as part of a team.\nWilling to travel across the UK, Ireland, and internationally.\nConfident with excellent communication and negotiation skills.\nSelf-assured and able to handle challenging situations.\nProficient in IT.\nComfortable working at height.
