Job Description
Electrical Project Manager / Estimator (R3)\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager / Estimator to lead and deliver electrical projects across commercial and industrial environments, including both new build and refurbishment schemes. You will be involved from initial tender through to final account, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance.\n\nThis role is ideal for a commercially aware, technically strong individual who can effectively manage teams, engage with stakeholders, and maintain full control over project performance from inception to completion. You will thrive in an environment where building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and project partners is key to successful project delivery.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPrepare and submit competitive tenders and quotations for projects ranging from small works to £1m+, with an annual individual turnover target of approximately £1.4m+.\n\nManage all phases of electrical projects, ensuring adherence to programme, budget, and quality requirements.\n\nProvide leadership and direction to project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.\n\nWork closely with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to confirm project requirements and expectations.\n\nInterpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation to ensure compliance with electrical standards and regulations, including accurate material take-offs.\n\nOversee procurement of materials, equipment, and specialist services.\n\nMonitor project progress, identify risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.\n\nConduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure safety and quality compliance.\n\nPrepare and review project documentation, including progress reports, RFIs, technical submittals, change orders, and handover/close-out information.\n\nMaintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders, addressing issues promptly and professionally.\n\nSupport the pre-construction team with surveys, meetings, and tender activities (material take-offs completed by others).\n\nManage multiple projects simultaneously across a diverse range of sectors, including refurbishments, new builds, and small works.\n\nExperience & Skills\n\nDemonstrated experience as an Electrical Project Manager within commercial and/or industrial sectors.\n\nTime-served electrician with strong technical knowledge.\n\nProven track record managing electrical projects from inception to completion.\n\nStrong understanding of electrical systems, industry codes, and regulatory requirements.\n\nCompetent in project budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.\n\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate project teams.\n\nExcellent organisational and leadership capabilities.\n\nAbility to work both independently and collaboratively.\n\nQualifications & Knowledge\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel.\n\nKnowledge of construction environments.\n\nRelevant qualifications in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.\n\nFull UK driving licence.\n\nNICEIC Qualifying Manager status or C&G 2391 (advantageous).\n\nEstimating experience desirable.\n\nWhat We Offer\n\nCompetitive salary.\n\nOpportunities for professional development and career progression.\n\nA supportive, collaborative working environment.\n\nInvolvement in a diverse portfolio of commercial and industrial projects.\n\nCompany van or car allowance.\n\n24 days Holiday plus Bank holidays
