ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEERJob Title – Electrical Maintenance Engineer Location – Thrapston, Northamptonshire Salary – £46,000 – £50,000 + Bonus (up to 10%) Shift – 2 Days / 2 Nights / 4 Off (42 hours per week) Job Role of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a highly automated, fast-paced manufacturing facility within a globally recognised packaging business. This site is part of a large international group and offers excellent job security, structured processes, and long-term career stability.Working within a well-established engineering team, you will predominantly focus on electrical fault finding and maintenance across a range of modern production machinery. This is an ideal role for an engineer who enjoys autonomy, problem-solving, and working in a technically challenging environment. Key Responsibilities Carrying out reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on site machineryDiagnosing and resolving electrical faults efficiently to minimise downtimeWorking on a variety of equipment including corrugators, conveyors, packaging machines, palletisers and cutting machineryElectrical fault finding on control circuits, PLCs, drives, inverters, motors and sensorsSupporting mechanical fault finding when required (gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, hydraulics and pneumatics)PLC fault finding (Siemens S7 & Allen Bradley – fault finding only)Working closely with the engineering team, team leaders and planners to maintain site performanceEnsuring all work is completed in line with health & safety and site standards Sector – Factory Maintenance (Packaging / FMCG) Non-Negotiable Requirements Electrical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent / Naric approved)Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment Desirable Requirements Experience within packaging, paper, or high-speed manufacturing environmentsExperience working with Siemens S7 or Allen Bradley PLCs The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will benefit from: Working for a large, stable, and globally recognised manufacturing groupExcellent shift pattern with strong work-life balance 2 Days / 2 Nights / 4 Off18 days off after every 7th/8th cycle Annual bonus up to 10% + monthly KPI bonusPension and ongoing training opportunitiesLong-term job security within a growing businessJBRP1_UKTJ
