Are you a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? We're seeking a proactive, safety-focused professional to join our engineering team and play a key role in maintaining and improving our plant and machinery performance.

The Role

As part of our Engineering team, you'll deliver high-quality workmanship while ensuring maximum plant reliability and minimal downtime. You'll be involved in preventative maintenance, fault finding, installations and continuous improvement projects within a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Health & Safety

  • Ensure full compliance with all EH&S requirements.

  • Follow SOPs / SSOWs and safe systems of work.

  • Conduct risk assessments (company system training provided).

  • Understand emergency procedures and promote safe behaviours.

  • Report all accidents and near misses.

Maintenance & Engineering

  • Perform plant preventative maintenance in line with Altair CMMS schedules.

  • Carry out repairs in accordance with repair notification procedures.

  • Undertake TPM and continuous improvement activities.

  • Diagnose faults from electrical schematic drawings.

  • Fault find and maintain drive systems, PLCs and ladder logic.

  • Manufacture and modify electrical control circuits.

  • Complete electrical installations to BS7671 standards.

  • Undertake minor projects and machine modifications.

  • Modify and upgrade existing equipment where required.

  • Understand and work with basic pneumatic systems.

  • Recommend new technologies to replace outdated equipment.

Operational Excellence

  • Record all work and raise follow-up actions via Altair CMMS.

  • Maintain effective shift handovers and produce detailed logs.

  • Liaise with subcontractors and issue permits in line with procedures.

  • Support other maintenance trades as required.

  • Book out parts from Engineering Stores and report shortages.

  • Identify and implement improvements to reduce plant downtime.

  • Operate Fork Lift Truck and Mobile Elevated Working Platform (training/qualification required).

? What We're Looking For
  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills.

  • Experience with PLC systems and ladder logic.

  • Understanding of drive systems and electrical schematics.

  • Knowledge of BS7671 electrical installation standards.

  • Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset.

  • Commitment to high safety and quality standards.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across shifts.
