Position 1 Recruitment is seeking a Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our client’s team. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and driven individual to develop their career while working with advanced machinery in a challenging environment.

The successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer will have relevant industry experience, including operational and fault-finding knowledge of PLCs and inverter controls. They should be able to test and diagnose motor and wiring faults, and possess a basic understanding of Health & Safety protocols such as Lockout/Tagout, Safe Isolation, Working at Height, Permit to Work, Confined Space entry, and ATEX/DSEAR regulations.
As a Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for performing both corrective and preventive maintenance on a wide range of production equipment. Your main goal will be to ensure all machinery operates efficiently and safely, minimising downtime and supporting the smooth running of production processes. You will work closely with a small team to meet quality and production standards, contributing to the continuous improvement efforts of the business.
Responsibilities:
· Perform corrective and preventive mechanical and electrical maintenance.
· Repair production, processing, and utility-related equipment.
· Support the installation of new equipment.
· Document all repairs and maintenance activities.
· Maintain a clean, orderly, and neat work area.
· Complete all paperwork accurately and promptly.
· Participate in the BOPEX (continuous improvement) program.
· Comply with all applicable procedures, regulations, and policies.
· Report and stop unsafe operations, using mandatory PPE as defined.
· Offer flexibility in working hours based on business needs, including on-call work outside regular hours.
This is a full-time permanent position 42 hrs on Panama shift including Days and Nights.
The shift pattern works like this:
* 3 days, then 2 nights, then 5 days off
* 2 days, then 2 nights, then 5 days off
* 2 days, then 3 nights, then 4 days off
Then the cycle repeats. All shifts are 12 hours, running from 6am to 6pm or 6pm to 6am
