Electrical Maintenance Engineer - Night Shift

TQR are working exclusively with a global Manufacturer based at their Plymouth site to recruit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer on static night shift due to a vast increase in their order book. Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, the successful candidate will play a critical hands‑on role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all machinery on site. The position is responsible for both reactive and planned maintenance, first‑fix repairs, and accurate CMMS documentation. Working closely with the Maintenance Team Leader & Production Team Leaders, the successful candidate will contribute to asset uptime, quality performance, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Safety & Compliance: * Complete all maintenance tasks in line with site safety procedures, risk assessments, permit‑to‑work policies and legal requirements. * Perform dynamic risk assessments prior to each job; escalate hazards where required. * Maintain tidy, safe work areas using a clean‑as‑you‑go and 5S approach. Reactive & Corrective Maintenance: * Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns across manufacturing and site services, ensuring permanent and robust fixes. * Communicate findings, actions taken, and follow‑up needs to the Maintenance Team Leader. * Support root cause analysis (RCA) and contribute technical insights to CI initiatives.
