Location: Stockton on Tees

We are working with an established electrical contractor looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Estimator to support ongoing and future work across technically complex projects. This is a key role within the commercial function, offering exposure to full end‑to‑end tendering and close collaboration with delivery teams and clients.

The role will suit someone confident managing the estimating process independently while operating in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

The Role

As Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for producing accurate, competitive tenders and supporting the transition from bid stage through to project handover.

Responsibilities include:

Reviewing specifications, drawings and tender documentation
Producing detailed and accurate electrical tenders and quotations
Ensuring all tender submissions are technically correct and compliant
Managing tender timelines and submitting bids to tight deadlines
Attending site visits, client briefings and pre-order meetings
Liaising with clients, suppliers and internal teams to clarify scope and requirements
Finalising bids and supporting handover to Project Managers
Reviewing and confirming electrical specifications post-award
Identifying, costing and managing variations, upcharges and concessions
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with the supply chain and clientsThe role will require regular travel between the UK and Ireland.

About You

Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Electrical Estimator or Electrical Engineer in an estimating role
Strong understanding of electrical specifications, technical documentation and tender processes
Confident working independently and managing multiple tenders at once
Strong analytical, numerical and general IT skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines
Proven track record of delivering high-quality tendersWhat’s on Offer
