The company has experienced consistent growth and continues to expand its operations year on year.\n\nKey Responsibilities for an Electrical Estimator:\n\nPrepare cost estimates for electrical/mechanical projects (£20k-£3m), including new builds, refurbishments, and D&B tenders\nManage and prioritise incoming enquiries to optimise departmental workflow\nPerform drawing take-offs and input data into estimation software (training provided)\nInterpret specifications, drawings, and room data sheets to inform estimates\nConduct site visits/surveys to assess existing installations as needed\nAnalyse supplier quotations for compliance with tender requirements\nComplete tenders including labour, prelims, and design input (Relux/Amtech training available)\nTailor tender documents and summaries to meet submission requirements\nIdentify and propose value engineering (VE) opportunities\nFollow up on tenders through to outcome\nLiaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers throughout the tender process\nAttend key meetings (mid/post-tender, pre-order)\nHandover secured projects to project managers and commercial teams\nCollaborate with internal teams throughout project lifecycle\nSupervise and support two team members\nDevelop and maintain strong working relationships\nHandle administrative tasks including emails, archiving, and supplier enquiriesQualifications and Experience for an Electrical Estimator:\n\nHNC/HND or City & Guilds equivalent (or similar field of study and/or trade experience as time-served electrician, electrical technician or similar)\nBuilding services background, electrical / mechanical bias\nCommercial/industrial estimating experience essential 3+ years - track record of winning projects\nExcellent quantitative and analytical skills\nSound communication skills both verbal and written\nIT proficient- conversant with MS Office, Excel, Trimble, AutoCAD\nStrong understanding of the MEP industry with wide supplier/manufacturer knowledge\nSelf-motivated and flexible to accommodate fast-paced environment\nExperience of working on projects worth upward of £3m\nAbility to prioritise and organise workload independentlyWhy Join Us?
