BGEN is one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the Water, Power & Energy, Pharmaceutical, Nuclear and Food and Beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions.

What will you be doing?

In this role, you’ll help shape successful tenders by reviewing technical and contractual details, preparing clear and accurate estimates and gathering competitive supplier and subcontractor quotations.

You’ll carry out detailed take‑offs, work closely with internal teams to gather key information and take part in site visits and tender review meetings in the UK and overseas.

When a tender is successful, you’ll brief the project team at kick‑off meetings and support Estimating Engineers to ensure tenders are complete, accurate and submitted on time.

Your contribution helps create a smooth, collaborative and well‑informed tendering process.

What you'll bring:

Strong understanding of estimating, commercial practice and engineering

Good knowledge of project management, HSE and QA compliance

Confident communicator who works well with colleagues and clients

High level of computer literacy

Extensive experience estimating work packages across power, energy, chemical, pharmaceutical, nuclear, utilities and food sectors

Helpful people‑management and coaching skills

Relevant qualifications such as HNC, ONC or City & Guilds

Practical on‑site electrical installation experience
