Job Description

Senior Electrical Estimator – Up to £100,000 + Package\n\nWe’re working with a well-established M&E contractor delivering complex electrical packages across commercial, infrastructure and specialist engineering projects. This is not a “sit back and price drawings” role – they want someone who can take ownership, challenge assumptions and drive tenders from enquiry through to award.\n\nThey are prepared to pay strong money for the right individual. In return, they expect someone senior – commercially sharp, detail-driven and accountable for results.\n\nThe Role\nYou’ll be leading electrical tenders across a mix of high-value and technically challenging projects.

This includes full take-off, pricing, value engineering and working closely with delivery teams to ensure tenders are both competitive and buildable.\n\nYou’ll be expected to:\n\n * Take full ownership of electrical tenders from initial enquiry through to submission\n\n * Interpret complex drawings and specifications across varied sectors\n\n * Price works accurately while identifying risk and opportunity\n\n * Engage with supply chain and subcontractors to build competitive submissions\n\n * Contribute to bid strategy, not just numbers\n\nWhat They’re Looking For\nThis isn’t for someone early in their estimating career. They want someone who has been there, seen it, and can deliver under pressure.\n\n * Strong background in electrical estimating within an M&E or engineering contractor\n\n * Experience pricing large-scale or technically complex projects\n\n * Commercially aware – understands margin, risk and how to win work\n\n * Confident working independently and making decisions\n\n * Comfortable being held accountable for tender outcomes\n\nWhy This Role\nThis is a business that values output.
