Job Description
Engineering Electrical Supervisor \n\nJenrick Engineering are recruiting an Engineering Electrical Supervisor on permanent basis for a Client based in Corby. The successful candidate will be a time-served multi-skilled engineer able to work with electrical control systems to fault finding level as well as carry out mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic fault finding and repairs to a range of foam conversion equipment. Strong oral and written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills essential as well as a broad knowledge of all aspects of engineering and site facilities.
Must be self-motivated, have excellent judgment and be able to multitask under pressure. Be able to control outside contractors, issuing permits, ensuring all correct paperwork has been submitted. Knowledge of process safety and implementing procedures.\n\nAs an Engineering Supervisor, you will lead a dedicated team of engineers, overseeing daily operations and small projects.
You will be responsible for managing workloads, providing technical guidance and mentorship, and ensuring team performance aligns with company goals. Your role is critical in fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards.\n\nSalary: £45,000 - £50,000 P/A\n\nShifts: 08:00 - 16:30 Monday to Friday\n\nJob Purpose\n\nTo monitor and inspect the condition of production equipment, the site facilities and carryout maintenance and repairs as necessary, to ensure safety and maximise uptime performance.\nTo devise planned preventative maintenance schedules and update accurately and on time.\nMonitor line performance for operational efficiency, report to management OEE and devise improvements to existing processes.\nCarryout Root cause analysis when a breakdown occurs and implements solutions to mitigate reoccurrence.\nAssist with safety related issues on site including writing of risk assessments and safe operating procedures - a key member of the site safety team.\nManage small projects when required.\nOrganise and supervise external contractors carrying out work on site, ensuring permits are issued and Vita / regulatory standards are always met.\nKnowledge of process safety (Training can be given to the right candidate)\nEnsure statutory records for equipment are maintained on time.\nCreate and keep updated maintenance work lists and proactively report to management.\nLead a small team of engineers by assigning daily workloads, ensuring completion deadlines.\nProvide continuous coaching to develop each team member's needs\nConduct regular reviews, setting clear objectives.\nEnsure all works comply with company policies and procedures. \n\nEssential duties and responsibilities\n\nInclude the following:\n\nStrong fault diagnosis skills on industrial electrical and mechanical systems to rectify breakdowns of production machinery and site facilities\nAble to read electrical and mechanical drawings.\nCarry out planned preventive maintenance tasks\nEnsure all engineering work carried out on site is completed to the required safety standards\nIssue permits to work and monitor contractor performance\nMonitor and record the performance of production equipment\nSuggest improvements and if approved carryout associated modifications as small projects\nLiaise with suppliers, obtaining best prices and deliveries for services, spare parts and equipment purchases\nKnowledge of process safety and its systems (training can be given for the right candidate)\nLead a small team of engineers by assigning daily workloads, ensuring completion deadlines.\nProvide continuous coaching to develop each team members needs and progression.\nConduct regular reviews setting clear objectives.

Other duties may be assigned.\n\nPerson Specification\n\nEducation and experience - Minimum level of education and experience required\n\nDetail\n\nEssential\n\nDesirable\n\nWorked in a large multinational company\n\nx\n\nONC or HNC time served apprenticed trained technician\n\nx\n\nNVQ Level 3 in electrical maintenance or equivalent\n\nx\n\nAble to interrogate and fault find with PLCs and AC inverter and servo drives\n\nx\n\n3-5 years' experience in a similar role\n\nx\n\n17th or18th Edition Wiring regulations.\n\nx\n\nGood aptitude for pneumatics and hydraulics\n\nx\n\nAble to carry out basic welding and machining to facilitate repairs\n\nx\n\nIT literate MS Word, Excel, Email and CMMS system\n\nx\n\nNebosh Certificate in Process Safety\n\nx\n\nIosh /Nebosh Managing safety\n\nx\n\nContractor Management / Supervision\n\nx\n\nAble to work under pressure and meet deadlines\n\nx\n\nStrong verbal and written English capability\n\nx\n\nCMI level 3 or above in management and leadership\n\nx
