The individual will be responsible for delivering electrical designs, planning and delivery of customer projects, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget and to the agreed scope and quality standards across the organisations wide range of electrical and security services. The engineer may also be required to assist with the production of bids for new work opportunities.

Based in Hanslope Park, with regular overseas travel, the Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for leading on the design, maintenance and management of a range of projects (typically up to £10M value). They may also be required to lead a multi-disciplinary team (in-house and external consultants) from inception through design, tendering, on-site supervision and completion. The job holder will engage customers, stakeholders and end-users at each stage of the process, ensuring that delivery of the end-product meets the brief.

Understanding, capturing and defining the client's requirements and objectives is an important skill for this role. Good awareness of budget and resource management is essential in the job as is a willingness to travel overseas, sometimes at short notice.

The job holder will be required to undertake electrical peer reviews for the M&E Engineering team electrical designs, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, IET regulations, Electricity at Works Act and any other applicable standard. Delivering to RIBA stages 0 to 7 is essential.

Close working will be required with our Professional Head of Electrical Engineering (Authorising Engineer), ensuring compliance with our electrical policies, standards and guidance.

Experience of contract administration would be of benefit.

Close liaison with our in-house Regional Technical Lead's, Architects, Surveyors & Structural Engineers etc is necessary to ensure that all aspects of construction and property maintenance are co-ordinated. Engagement with, and management of, overseas-based construction consultants and Clerks of Works is also an essential part of this role.

Authorised Person Low Voltage experience along with up-to-date training to provide support to the Authorising Electrical Engineer would be of benefit.

Essential

Electrical Engineering Level 6 or equivalent qualifications.
Registered Incorporated or Chartered Engineer (I Eng or C Eng).
Membership of professional Engineering body i.e., IET etc.
Practical knowledge and experience of RIBA Design Stages.
Experience designing Building Services, Electrical.
Leading design and/or construction teams.
Knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation, CDM, Electricity at Work Regulations etc.
Design software experience e.g., Trimble etc.
Microsoft suite: Word, Excel, Outlook and Project.Desirable

Authorised Person LV experience
Knowledge of Generator systems.
Knowledge of NEC 4 Contracts.
Experience of working overseas.
Electrical Testing qualification such as C&G 2391This role will require frequent overseas travel, sometimes at short notice. Trips can vary from 1-2 days up to 2-3 weeks depending on location, access, project complexity etc
