Job Description

Position: Electrical Engineer\n Location: Birmingham City Centre\n Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum + Overtime\n Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm\n Contract: Permanent, Full-Time\n \n An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the on-site team at a commercial facility in Birmingham City Centre. This role offers a great work-life balance alongside strong training and progression opportunities within a supportive engineering environment.\n \n What you'll do:\n \nCarry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance across electrical building services plant. \nPerform fault finding and repairs on systems including lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting, control panels, and associated electrical equipment.

\nEnsure all electrical systems are operating safely, efficiently, and in line with compliance and statutory regulations. \nRespond to breakdowns and maintenance requests, ensuring minimal disruption to site operations. \nAssist with small works, upgrades, and general maintenance tasks across the site.

\nMaintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and support continuous improvement initiatives. What you'll bring:\n \n18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential). \nCity & Guilds / NVQ in an Electrical discipline.

\nExperience within commercial building services or facilities maintenance environments. \nStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. \nA proactive and reliable approach with good communication skills.
