Job DescriptionOverview
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.
Responsibilities
\n
Design, analyze, and develop electrical and electronic systems for submarines, including navigation, communications, photonics and tactical control systems.
\n
Lead and support laboratory and shipboard testing of electrical systems to verify performance against specifications, identify defects, and recommend improvements.
\n
Develop and analyze shipboard power systems, conduct load analysis, phase balancing, and ensure fault tolerance and redundancy.
\n
Prepare technical reports, schematics, and documentation in accordance with military, industry, and company standards (MIL-SPECs, IEEE, EMI/EMC, etc.).
\n
Support design, development, and testing of advanced submarine electronic systems.focuses on ship's power distribution, phase balancing, and integrated electronic subsystems

Qualifications
\n
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
\n
1+ years of professional experience in design, development and testing of electrical and electronic equipment.
\n
U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
\n
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance.
\n
Physically capable to conduct ship checks on United States Nuclear Submarines:
\n
Be comfortable in relatively confined spaces.
\n
Able to climb vertical ladders (20' - 25') within the submarine.
\n

Pay Transparency Statement
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $65,700.00/Yr. - USD $109,700.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
