At KLA, youll work on cutting-edge engineering challenges in a collaborative, high-impact environment.KLA is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our Central Engineering team based inNewport, Wales, UK.As the successful candidate, you will be an experienced/proven Electrical/Electronic Design Engineer with a detailed understanding of all aspects of electrical and electronic design. You'll work in a team of mechanical and electrical design engineers responsible for power modules and communication modules across different divisions within the corporation. The engineer is responsible for designing, detailing, and testing of new electrical sub-system for the next generation KLA tools!Key responsibilities:Design and document circuits for new projects.Partake in Design Reviews with multi-functional teams.Select and detail new parts. Request quotations and place orders for prototype and pre-production builds.Work closely with and manage suppliers to ensure all design requirements are specified and achieved.Address and resolve product issues through the product lifecycle phases.Assist in the development of the assembly procedures (Operational Method Sheets) for new assemblies, so the prototype assembly proceeds smoothly.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (or a related discipline)or hold equivalent level of qualificationStrong documentation skills, with knowledge of AutoCAD, Visio, Excel, and other Microsoft365 tools.The candidate must be a self-motivated engineer with the ability to multi-task and work independently as part of a team.They will also have the inherent desire to expand their knowledge through self-study and continuing education and training.Strong communications skills are needed for extensive interaction with vendors and team members.Desirable ExperienceWire harness and/or Cable documentation and design experienceDevelopment and installation experience with safety circuits.Semiconductor-industryexperience is a plus (knowledge of SEMI standards).Familiarity with wiring safety standardsPLC implementation and programming skillsAbility to diagnose problems and hands-on problem-solving experience for sophisticated electrical subsystemsEnjoy working on leading-edge technologiesAdditional InformationTravel up to 25% with the ability to be flexible for domestic and international travel based on business needs.We support early-career development through structured onboarding, mentoring, and learning opportunitiesOur Benefits package includes:Annual leave starting at 25 days (plus bank holidays), contributory pension scheme, global bonus plan, cash health plan, cycle to work scheme, share scheme, rewards scheme, and life assurance.JBRP1_UKTJ
