Electrical Design Engineer UK - remote with site travel £28,000 - £38,000

Responsibilities: Generate panel layouts and bills of materials. LV distribution and cable calculations. Generating electrical control schematic diagrams. Generating instrument loop diagrams/cable block diagrams. Generating PLC wiring diagrams and I/O schedules. Machinery safety circuit design and risk assessments to BS EN ISO 13849/60261. Preparation of supporting technical & installation documents. Liaise with site teams to meet project deadlines. Participate in project commissioning & safety validation. Work in a safe and sustainable way.

Skills: Preferably have knowledge / experience of machine safety and safety circuits. It would be an advantage to understand component SIL and machine PL ratings, however, training can be provided if required. Preferably have knowledge of PLC control wiring systems, instrumentation, and motor starter control types. Experience of AutoCAD, Amtech or equivalent software. Understanding of relevant standards to industrial automation & controls design.

Specific skillset: Preferably hold Electrical qualifications BTEC and/or NVQ3. 18th Edition.<...
