Your background as an Electrical Design Engineer: Previous experience of working in an Electrical Design Engineer, Electrical Project Engineer, or similar electrical engineering focused position. Any experience gained within the following types of industries would be beneficial industrial engineering, rail, energy, marine, oil and gas, process engineering, power generation or similar. Be able to use AutoCAD to produce electrical designs, schematics, and electrical equipment layouts. Be able to work collaboratively with production teams and customers from concept to commissioning to successfully deliver projects. You will hold a recognised electrical engineering qualified e.g., apprenticeship, HNC, HND, degree etc.. Electrical Design Engineer Responsibilities: You will take a customer electrical engineering project from the initial specification stage, through to a fully developed electrical design, provide production support, and customer acceptance tests (no travel required) where necessary. Produce schematics and electrical equipment layouts using AutoCAD. Produce cable calculations using specific software tools (training can be provided on this). You will work closely and collaboratively with production and customers throughout projects from concept to commissioning.
