JOB - Electrical Design Engineer\n\nLOCATION – Portsmouth\n\nTERM – Permanent\n\nSALARY - £40,000 - £45,000 (Dependant on experience)\n\nThe Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of electrical systems used within the company’s manufactured equipment. This role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical design, controls, and production to deliver reliable and compliant electrical designs.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDesign electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts\nDevelop electrical systems for bespoke and standard manufacturing equipment\nProduce technical documentation including bills of materials and specifications\nEnsure designs comply with relevant electrical standards and regulations\nSupport the build, test, and commissioning of equipment when required\nWork collaboratively with internal teams to resolve design and production issues\nContribute to continuous improvement of design processes and standards \n\n Requirements\n\nDegree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline\nExperience in electrical design within a manufacturing or machinery environment\nProficiency with electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar\nKnowledge of relevant standards and regulations\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail\nAbility to work both independently and as part of a team\nIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation
