Job Description
Electrical Design Engineer - Building Services \n London \n Paying up to £45,000 \n \n The Role: \n As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of electrical systems for building services projects. (A mix of Hospitals, Universities, Prisons, Residential and Education Projects) \n \n Key Responsibilities: \n - Develop detailed electrical designs including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and communication systems. \n - Conduct feasibility studies, technical calculations, and energy efficiency assessments.
\n - Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to integrate designs seamlessly into projects. \n - Prepare technical drawings and specifications using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar. \n - Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., BS, IEC).
\n - Participate in project meetings, site visits, and inspections to monitor progress and resolve issues. \n - Support the preparation of project documentation, including tender submissions and design reports. \n \n Essential Qualifications and Skills: \n - A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
\n - Proven experience in electrical design for building services (minimum 2 years ). \n - Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools. \n - Strong knowledge of building services standards, regulations, and best practices.
