Job Description
Electrical Control Systems Engineer\n Wolverhampton\n Up to 55k\n\nOverview\n This role involves the design, development, and commissioning of electrical control systems for industrial machinery. You will work across the full project lifecycle, from software development and electrical design through to on-site commissioning and customer support.\n\nKey Skills & Experience\n\nExperience with Siemens PLCs, including: \nTIA Portal and WinCC\nS7-1500 and S7-1200 controllers\nWinCC and WinCC Unified HMIs\nLadder logic programming\nExperience programming Siemens Safety PLCs\nKnowledge of industrial drives, such as Siemens G120/S120 or Control Techniques M700\nAbility to produce electrical CAD drawings using E-Plan, including: \n2D panel layouts\nMulti-line schematics\nSpecification and selection of suitable components\nExperience using LabVIEW\nWorking knowledge of: \nUK Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations\nEU Machinery Directive\nMethodical and accurate approach with strong communication skills\nFull UK driving licenceKey Responsibilities\n\nDevelop and maintain control software using Siemens platforms and LabVIEW\nDesign and implement new control software solutions\nProduce wiring diagrams and schematics for control panels and field installations using E-Plan\nDiagnose and resolve faults in existing electro-mechanical systems\nDesign, develop, and integrate upgrades to existing control and automation systems\nCommission and test new machinery, including software developed in-house\nSupport the preparation of sales and technical proposals\nPrepare designs for manufacture and liaise with external suppliers\nSupervise electrical technicians during build and installation phases\nManage and oversee electrical sub-contractors on design and build projects\nTravel to UK customer sites for machine installation and commissioning\nOccasional overnight stays or short-term work away from home may be required
